I see that from
then chart below (posted at ft.com) that China’s foreign exchange reserves are
once again climbing. They haven’t climbed enough to have broken the downtrend,
and I think the problem addressed at http://gordon-feil-economics.blogspot.ca/2017/02/china-continues-to-bleed-dollars.html
still exists.
China isn’t
going to blow away in the wind or slide into the sea, but there will be bad
economic news from the Orient over the next few years. It remains to be seen
how it affects those with whom China does business. When an injured dinosaur is thrashing around
on the ground, some smaller animals can stay out its way, but that tail might
easily wallop one that gets in the way.
